Aligned Appoints Three Seasoned Industry Veterans To Executive Sales Team

NEW YORK, NY – November 1, 2016 – Aligned, a sustainable technology company with a mission to innovate and optimize infrastructure within Data Centers to eliminate waste of materials, energy and water, announced today the appointment of Tom Blair as Senior Vice President of Global Enterprise Sales, Mercy Manning as Global Account Executive, and Stuart Lawrence as Director of Sales.

The addition of these three strategic hires will bolster Aligned’s executive sales team and help the company meet current demand, as well as expand into new territory to educate and inform companies on the value of their one-of-a-kind sustainable technology platforms.

“Our decision to hire Tom, Stuart and Mercy was based on each of their incredibly successful track records and experience, as well as their conviction in not just our technology platform, but Aligned’s overall mission to dramatically cut energy and water consumption associated with data centers,” said Jakob Carnemark, Founder and CEO of Aligned. “We look forward to the contributions that each of these seasoned veterans will bring to our team as our model and advanced sustainability and technology offerings continue to gain traction in the marketplace.”

With over 30 years of high-quality experience in sales and management across the globe, including 17 in the data center and cloud compute industry with executive leadership positions at IBM, SoftLayer Technologies, Terremark Worldwide and Data Return Corporation, Tom Blair’s understanding of all market segments – from large enterprises and hyperscale cloud providers to small and mid-size businesses – will enable him to build strategic goals and objectives for Aligned’s sales team. In his new role, Blair will be responsible for leading the company’s global sales team and executing a successful sales program that further propels Aligned as a prominent player in the marketplace. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for SoftLayer Technologies, an IBM company specializing in cloud services, where he helped drive exponential growth resulting in SoftLayer and IBM becoming one of the largest cloud companies in the world.

Mercy Manning joins the team with over 15 years of business development and sales experience. As Global Account Executive, she will utilize her extensive relationships within the commercial real estate, data center, sustainability and technology communities to bring the company into new markets and develop strategic partnerships. Manning most recently served as National Account Manager for Vigilent Corporation where she was responsible for developing and maintaining key client relationships with companies, such as Amazon, Apple, AT&T, CBRE, Equinix, Digital Realty Trust, JLL and Vxchnge. She consistently achieved results above her quota, and in 2014 was the recipient of Vigilent’s Sales Person of the Year Award. In addition, Manning has held various leadership roles in industry organizations like Commercial Real Estate Women and the U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild San Francisco Host Committee.

As Director of Sales for Aligned, Stuart Lawrence will work with Blair and Manning to expand the company’s global footprint. For the past six years, he has been engaged in the design and sale of high-efficiency cooling systems for data centers while working as Key Account Manager/Sales Director of America for Munters, a global leader in energy efficient air treatment solutions based on expertise in economizer and humidity control technologies.  Prior to his work in the mission critical space, Lawrence worked for more than 10 years in a multitude of industrial and commercial engineering applications involving automation and precision air conditioning.
