Shelley McCain

Shelley McCain is Vice President of Energy Strategy at Aligned Data Centers, where she leads the company’s energy strategy and execution through the development of powered land.

She partners with utilities, OEMs, technology companies, energy providers, and policymakers to enable large-scale data center growth. With more than 20 years of experience across natural gas, power, and renewables—including over a decade at Shell—she originated more than 1 GW of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery projects and led teams that deployed 100+ MW of behind the meter energy assets. Throughout her career, she has structured innovative commercial agreements for large energy users, including hyperscalers and data center operators and built alliances that accelerate the energy transition.

Shelley holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Global Energy Management from the University of Houston and serves on nonprofit boards supporting education and women’s empowerment.
