Outperforming Expectations

The Aligned Maintenance, Management, and Operations (AMMO) audit is performed by a supervisory team of operational, quality assurance/quality control, security, and technical experts. This specialized team visits sites across our data center portfolio to identify areas of improvement in operations, processes, maintenance, and training to ensure 100% uptime.

We combine operational best practices with engineering that supports next-generation workloads. Our innovative cooling technology supports the ultra-high rack densities of AI and HPC workloads, sustainably. This reduces operational complexity and risk for high-density deployments.

Our Advanced Cooling Lab is dedicated to testing and innovating Aligned’s flexible design and air and liquid cooling solutions so that we continue to master the thermal demands of next-generation GPUs and emerging AI accelerators. The lab also serves as a testbed for our platform delivery and operations teams, providing hands-on training and development on next-generation technologies, including liquid cooling.

Aligned captures real-time monitoring and analytics data on its operations and provides granular, export-friendly data points to customers that can be delivered through our portal or via an API. By providing insight into metrics like power usage and environmentals through a single pane of glass, our customers and operations teams can take proactive measures to improve performance.

Aligned uses artificial intelligence to help predict capacity needs, prevent system failures, and enhance security. We’re exploring the use of drones and robotics to enhance fire and life safety and physical security within our facilities.

Operations are continuously measured against industry best practices and standards, with customer success tracked via dashboards and surveys.

Our operational leaders have extensive experience in mission-critical environments, with an average of more than a decade of experience. Approximately 30 percent of our workforce are veterans, many of which have previously served aboard U.S. Navy nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers.

Safety

Our commitment to safety is reflected in our industry-leading safety record. Aligned views safety as an investment with zero accidents as the only target.

Centralized Oversight

Our Safety Committee is responsible for ensuring safety standards are met and continuously improved across all data center locations. Aligned conducts more than 40 drills and 160 training sessions annually. All operations team members are required to complete an OSHA 10 certification during their first month of onboarding to ensure a safe work environment. 

Contractor Compliance

Our contractor health and safety policy requires site audits and compliance with Aligned’s Environmental Health and Safety standards before work even begins, extending operational safety to every partner and tradesperson on site.

Safety as a KPI

Our industry-first sustainability-linked facilities and securitizations tie lending terms to KPIs such as renewable energy matching, emissions targets, and safety metrics, including Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and operational availability. We have expanded sustainability-linked credit facilities in support of growth while maintaining transparent reporting for lenders and investors.
