Aligned has been innovating cooling technologies for 12+ years. We designed our energy-efficient cooling systems to support the demands of high-density computing environments while maintaining low PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).
Other Notable Sustainability Efforts
Our highly efficient cooling systems, waterless heat rejection, and closed-loop design recycle and reuse existing water, minimizing environmental impact and driving low WUE (Water Usage Effectiveness). Aligned saves tens of millions of gallons of water per data center annually compared to legacy facilities.
Our Adaptive Modular Infrastructure (AMI) uses standardized, prefabricated modules for various building components. Unlike traditional stick-built methods, AMI sustainably accelerates deployment timelines and minimizes waste by relying on precise, repeatable manufacturing processes that produce fewer components and significantly cut down on Scope 3 emissions through reduced onsite construction.
Aligned was one of the first data center providers to offer transparent and accurate data of our carbon footprint via a 24/7 carbon tracking platform that measures energy, emissions, and utility information.
We’re accelerating supply chain decarbonization and circular asset management by integrating OriginMark™, a material traceability system, across all our data center campuses.
By revitalizing brownfield sites for new data center development, we transform dormant properties into community assets that attract new investment, jumpstart employment, and preserve green spaces.
We maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with utility and energy providers and continuously explore innovative power solutions. This includes deploying on-site energy assets like battery energy storage systems (BESS) that can reduce reliance on fossil-fuel peaking resources, stabilize energy use, and lay the foundation for future microgrids capable of supporting resilience.
