Eric Jacobs brings more than two decades of sales leadership across the data center, cloud, and telecommunications industries, where he has consistently built high-performing teams and driven exceptional growth across every stage of scale.

As Chief Commercial Officer at Aligned Data Centers, Eric has been instrumental in leading the company through a period of unprecedented expansion and record-breaking revenue growth — positioning Aligned as one of the world’s fastest-growing, most capital-efficient digital infrastructure platforms. He oversees all facets of sales, solution architecture and customer success, including go-to-market strategy, channel development, contract negotiations, and customer success, while ensuring that sales execution aligns seamlessly with Aligned’s mission to deliver sustainable, scalable, and AI-ready capacity.

Prior to joining Aligned, Eric spent more than eight years at QTS Realty Trust, where he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and held multiple executive roles across sales, operations, and facilities — contributing to the company’s significant growth trajectory and ultimate acquisition by Blackstone. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at CMI, Pac-West, and Zayo Group (formerly AboveNet Communications), and was among the original team members at Nextel Communications, where he helped shape the company’s early market expansion.

A graduate of the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Corporate Management, Eric remains active in the community and serves on the Board of the CIO Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for economically disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in information technology.
