Michael Morris is a seasoned data center development leader with nearly 15 years of experience driving high-impact infrastructure projects. As Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Aligned Data Centers, he leads the company’s strategic growth initiatives, focusing on expanding Aligned’s scalable and sustainable data center footprint to meet the increasing demands of global hyperscale and enterprise customers.
Previously serving as Executive Vice President of Design and Construction, Michael played a pivotal role in overseeing the development of cutting-edge data center campuses, ensuring alignment with best-in-industry design, efficiency, and operational goals while optimizing speed-to-market. His expertise in complex infrastructure development continues to shape Aligned’s position as a leader in adaptive and energy-efficient data center solutions.
Prior to joining Aligned, Michael held key leadership positions in the data center industry, including Regional Director of Construction Management at Equinix and Senior Project Manager at DPR Construction, where he managed large-scale data center projects. His background also includes experience as a Builder at Drees Homes, further refining his expertise in construction management and execution.
