Building Connections and Caring for Neighbors in Elk Grove Village

A strong community is one where people look out for one another. In Elk Grove Village, Illinois, A Caring Place has spent nearly two decades creating a welcoming environment where local seniors can connect, build friendships and feel supported.
Originally established as an affordable socialization program, A Caring Place offers seniors and their families a place where relationships and personal connections are central to the experience.
As one representative explains in the video, “We’re not a drop-off program. We’re like a family.”
Helping Seniors Stay Connected
For many seniors, social connections are an important part of everyday life. But for some families, financial challenges can make it difficult to continue participating in programs that provide those opportunities.
Through Aligned Data Centers’ support, A Caring Place has been able to help address some of those challenges.
One family, for example, could no longer afford for their loved one to attend. With additional resources available, A Caring Place was able to ensure he could continue participating.
For that individual, it meant maintaining familiar routines, friendships and a sense of belonging. For his family, it meant knowing he could continue being part of a community that cared about him.
Being Part of the Elk Grove Village Community
Aligned’s commitment to Elk Grove Village extends beyond our facilities. We believe strong relationships begin with understanding the needs of the communities where we operate and finding meaningful ways to contribute.
Supporting organizations like A Caring Place is one way we can help strengthen those relationships while recognizing the important work already taking place in the community.
Being a good neighbor means looking beyond your own walls and taking an active interest in the people around you.
That perspective reflects how we approach community engagement at Aligned: listening, participating and supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to support A Caring Place and the dedicated individuals who help local seniors feel seen, valued and connected.
