Aligned Data Centers & Ryan Team Up for Start-of-Year Teacher Shopping Spree

Teachers spend countless hours helping students learn, grow, and prepare for the future—and too often, they also have to spend their own money making sure their classrooms have the supplies they need.

To help jumpstart the year and express our appreciation for the dedicated educators at Abernathy ISD, we teamed up with Ryan Companies, to give back in a tangible way.

Immediately following Convocation to kick off in-service week, Abernathy ISD teachers were surprised with a shopping spree dedicated to classroom supplies.

Investing Directly in the Classroom

The excitement was contagious as teachers filled their carts with supplies, shared ideas, and talked about how they planned to put their purchases to use throughout the school year.

From essential instructional materials and organization systems to everyday supplies, teachers were able to pick out exactly what they needed to build a welcoming, productive learning environment for their incoming students.

“It’s a lifesaver in a whole bunch of different ways that I get to get supplies that my kids are going to use throughout the year and it didn’t come out of my pocket,” notes one teacher.

Celebrating the Teachers Who Make a Difference

The event was an opportunity to recognize the important role teachers play in our communities and provide a tangible investment in the students and classrooms they serve everyday.

“We want to be good partners and good neighbors for the long-term, so we’re really grateful that we have the opportunity to be a good neighbor and support the teachers here,” said Meredith Bussell, Manager of Land Enablement at Aligned.

We’re grateful to Ryan for partnering with us to make this experience possible, the leadership at Abernathy ISD for inviting us into their kick-off week and, most importantly, to the teachers who continue to make a lasting impact on the next generation.
