Aligned Data Centers Appoints Industry Veteran Chris Drumgoole as Chief Operating Officer
Former DXC Technology, GE, and Verizon Terremark Executive Brings Over 25 years of Leadership to Drive Operational Excellence and Scale Global Infrastructure
DALLAS – September 23, 2026 – Aligned Data Centers (“Aligned” or “the Company”), a leading developer and operator of ultra-efficient data centers for the world’s most demanding workloads, today announced the appointment of Chris Drumgoole as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to Aligned’s Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Schaap, Drumgoole will provide executive leadership across the Company’s Operations, Platform Delivery, and Information Technology divisions, guiding Aligned through its next phase of rapid global growth and scale.
Drumgoole brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across data centers, cloud infrastructure, technology, cybersecurity, and large-scale global operations. Throughout his career, he has successfully led complex organizations through significant transformation, maintaining a consistent focus on operational excellence, customer outcomes, and the development of high-performing teams.

Most recently, Drumgoole served as President of Global Infrastructure Services at DXC Technology, where he led the company’s largest business unit. In this capacity, he was responsible for operating, modernizing, and securing mission-critical infrastructure for enterprise and government organizations worldwide. During his six-year tenure at DXC, Drumgoole also held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer.
Prior to DXC, Drumgoole served as Global Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at General Electric, leading technology and cybersecurity across the company’s global operations. Earlier in his career, he spent several years in the data center industry with Terremark and Verizon, ultimately serving as President and COO of Verizon Terremark. There, he led a global cloud, hosting, and data center business encompassing more than 3,000 team members across 15 countries.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Drumgoole brings a valuable board-level perspective to Aligned. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kodiak Gas Services and previously served on the Board of Directors of PetSmart. Drumgoole holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Pace University. He has received numerous industry accolades throughout his career, including the prestigious ORBIE Leadership Award and CIO 100 recognition.
